Valentine’s at CSLIB 2026: A Week of Love and Community

In celebration of the Month of Love, the College of Science Libraries (CSLIB) held its Valentine’s Celebration Week 2026 from February 9-13, 2026, bringing together students, faculty, and staff through meaningful and engaging activities designed to foster connection and community.

Through Noted with Love… xoxo, the library transformed its bulletin board into an interactive feedback wall, collecting heart notes containing actionable suggestions. Users expressed appreciation for CSLIB staff, services, and even the beloved library cats, while offering wishes for facility improvements. This year’s photobooth, Let’s Take a Shelfie, welcomed students, faculty, and staff across units, displaying 118 polaroid-style photos that turned the CSLIB lobby into a vibrant showcase of shared moments. To cap off the celebration, Valentine’s Snack-Giving distributed 200 snack packs, funded through staff contributions, allowing library personnel to personally engage with users, strengthening goodwill and reinforcing CSLIB’s culture of care.

Though simple in design, the week-long celebration successfully strengthened community ties, gathered meaningful feedback, and reaffirmed CSLIB’s commitment to being a welcoming and user-centered academic space.
