• The University of the Philippines College of Science Library (CSLIB) was formally established on June 24, 1987 under UP Administrative Order No. 62, in response to the creation of the College of Science Board of Regents on its 962nd meeting on October 26, 1983.
• At the same time, Mrs Lourdes T. David was officially appointed as the Head Librarian of the College of Science Library, a position she held until May 2001.

Mrs. Lourdes T. David assumed the leadership of the DOST-ESEP Library Network. The acquisition of an integrated library software called “TINLIB” marked the start of its automation effort.

The College of Science Library received a UNESCO grant that funded infrastructure upgrades in the Library.

• Mrs. Arlene A. Marzo was the Acting Head Librarian of the Colege of Science Library from June 2001 to December 2002.
• On January 2003, Mrs. Marzo was officially appointed as the Head Librarian of the College of Science Library, a position she held until June 2007.

The College of Science Library Patron Monitoring Database was officially launched in 2005.

• Dr. Caesar Saloma envisioned the creation of the UP College of Science Institute Libraries at the beginning of his three-year term as Dean of the College of Science.
• On July 2007, Mrs Jocelyn O. Razal was officially appointed as the Head Librarian of the College of Science Library, a position she held until June 2010.

• The College of Science Library ABCD In-House Database was officially launched in 2010.
• On July 2010, Mrs. Marie Antoinette D. Villaflor was officially appointed as the Head Librarian of the College of Science Library, a position she held until June 2025.

• The College of Science Institute Libraries were officially established on April 2011, during the tenure of Mrs. Villaflor. Mrs Susannah V. Deasis oversaw the early development of the Institute Libraries until 2013.
• The National Institute of Physics (NIP) Library was officially established on April 2011

• On its 25th anniversary, the Library moved into a larger building, formerly know as CSLAB, which was renovated and renamed CSLIB.
• The Institute of Mathematics (IM) Library was officially established on April 2012.
• The Institute of Chemistry (IC) was officially established on June 2012.
• The National Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (NIMBB) Library was officially established on November 2012

The Institute of Environmental Science and Meteorology (IESM) Library was officially established on August 2013.

• The first enhancement of the College of Science Libraries Website was officially launched in August 12, 2015.
• The Institute of Biology (IB) Library was officially established on September 2015.
• The Material Science and Engineerring Program (MSEP) Library was officially established on December 2015.

• The National Institute of Geological Sciences (NIGS) Library was officially placed under the supervision of the College of Science Head Librarian on January 2017.
• The CS Libraries Resource Material Tracking System was officially launched on September 15, 2017.

• The Natural Sciences Research Institute (NSRI) Library was officially established on July 2018.
• The CS Libraries Study Nook was officially established on August 6, 2018, during the term of Dean Perry Ong.

Research Data Services (RDS) were first offered by the CS Institute Library Liaisons to CS Faculty on 2019.

• The second enhancement of the College of Science Libraries Website was officially launched in August 29, 2021.
• The CS Libraries eBook Hub was officially launched in August 29, 2021.

The College of Science Libraries Research and Extension Services (RES) Section was officially established on July 1, 2024.

The third enhancement of the College of Science Libraries Website was officially launched in October 4, 2025.
