A new academic year means new beginnings, and the College of Science Library (CSLIB) was excited to welcome the newest batch of freshies, shiftees, and transferees (FSTs) during the CS Tour 2025: TrailblaCSe, held on August 7, 2025, as part of CS Freshie Month.

A total of 165 students visited CSLIB for the tour. They were greeted with an orientation video before exploring the Library’s study areas, resources, and services that will support them throughout their time in the College. To keep the energy high as they made their way around the science complex, snacks were provided to our new Iskolars.

The event also became a moment of community and generosity. Thanks to the support of our library partners—Ms. Rizalyn Janio of the University Library, UP Diliman; Mr. Janus of Academic Paradigm Inc.; and Mr. James of LibTech Source Philippines Inc.—students received giveaway tokens that made their first experience in the College even more memorable.

The CSLIB is delighted to be part of this annual tradition of welcoming new members to the CS community. More than just a space for study, the Library hopes to be a place for growth, connection, and support as students begin their exciting journey in the College of Science.
