Connecting Scholars to Support: CSLIB at the 2026 Graduate Students Orientation
The newest members of the College of Science graduate community were formally welcomed on March 2, 2026, during the New CS Graduate Students Orientation organized by the College of Science Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (OADAA) at the CS Auditorium.
As part of the program, the College of Science Libraries (CSLIB) joined the orientation to introduce incoming graduate students to the academic support systems available to them throughout their studies. Positioned outside the auditorium, the CSLIB booth and interactive game station welcomed students with engaging activities and informational materials designed to spark curiosity about library services. An updated CSLIB orientation video was presented, offering a guided overview of the Library’s learning spaces, research support services, and digital platforms. From specialized research assistance to online tools and study environments, the presentation highlighted how CSLIB supports graduate-level coursework, thesis development, and scholarly research.
CSLIB extends its sincere appreciation to LibTech Source Philippines Inc. for providing the roll-up banners and sponsored prizes that added to the energy of the event.
By participating in initiatives like this, CSLIB continues to strengthen its presence as an essential academic partner, ensuring that every new graduate student is aware of the resources, support, and spaces available to help them thrive in their research and academic pursuits.
